Artist: Kwood
https://images2.imgbox.com/66/c6/wVo3QFy7_o.jpeg
Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1983, Kwood comes from a background in craft design. He has wandered the streets of Japan, experiencing how wooden art infuses old alleyways with a warm and profound vitality. These objects, like fragments of time, carry the traces of history and the contours of the future, seeking a delicate balance between opposition and harmony. This transforms into refined works that closely connect the vision of the new generation with the simplicity of the old era. Agarwood, once ground into powder for appreciation, is solemnly placed in the most prominent area of Japanese homes, symbolizing vitality and brightness.
Agarwood originates from its source, pure and flawless, untouched by artificial enhancements such as boiling glue, drawing lines, or fragrance oils. It is presented in its most original form. Through ancient scent-extraction techniques, the outer layers of the deadwood are meticulously peeled by hand, revealing the true soul of the agarwood. This not only imbues it with eternal vitality but also subtly intertwines tradition and modern craftsmanship at your fingertips, creating a feast for the eyes and the senses. The rich aroma, like condensed time, gently draws together past memories and future aspirations, allowing them to meet and resonate within the fragrance, continuing endlessly, distant and profound.
