**Start from scratch and transform your love for flowers into genuine skill.**
Many people first encounter floral design by completing a beautiful bouquet.
**But at nicethingsflora, we want you to understand more:**
Why is this flower placed here? Why does a bouquet have direction? How do you achieve the right proportion? Why does a piece look balanced?
"Floral Artist Training Class Level 1" is a set of four in-person floral design classes designed for absolute beginners.
Starting with the most basic spiral stem technique, you'll gradually learn about floral materials, direction, proportion, layers, and space. Rather than simply copying the instructor's work, we aim for you to develop the ability to complete your own pieces by the end of the course.
Floral design isn't about talent; it's about understanding.
Once you begin to understand flowers, you can slowly move from imitation to your own creation.

**| Four-Session Course Content |**
**01 | Hand-Tied Bouquet** Sep 9 (Wed), Sep 19 (Sat)
Starting with spiral stems, observe flower faces and material orientation to build the most crucial foundational techniques for hand-tied bouquets. Understand the basic composition of points, lines, planes, and bouquets.
**02 | Biedermeier Arrangement** Sep 16 (Wed), Oct 3 (Sat)
Practice the classic 360° form, establishing a stable floral foundation through proportion, layers, and balance. This is also a highly practical basic arrangement style for commercial floral gifts.
**03 | Parallel Vertical Arrangement** Sep 23 (Wed), Oct 17 (Sat)
Utilizing proportion and the natural growth direction of plants, practice varying flower heights, lines, and negative space to begin understanding spatial relationships within a design.
**04 | Spherical Floral Topiary** Sep 30 (Wed), Oct 24 (Sat)
Transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional space, practicing complete spherical structure and proportion to build a more comprehensive 3D floral concept, which can be extended to festive arrangements and commercial designs.
