On November 23, 2007, Cristiano Savini and his dog Rocco discovered this massive white truffle, weighing approximately 1.3 kg (2 lbs 13 oz), buried 2.5 feet underground. It took nearly two hours to carefully excavate it whole. It was immediately flown to the Macau auction, where it was ultimately acquired by the world-renowned Macau magnate Stanley Ho for $330,000 USD. Savini Tartufi donated this sum to Italian charities.
