Broken or chipped, no longer usable pottery is upcycled, mended with Kintsugi, and reborn as accessories. The concept behind these creations is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and unlock new possibilities. Flower pattern fragments, hand-painted with delicate designs, are paired with freshwater pearls. The pearls sway gently with each movement, creating an elegant effect. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragments, allowing the gold to gleam from every angle and enhance the piece's refined aesthetic. This work utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the urushi tree, this process incorporates adhesive for bonding.
