- Taiwan Tea No. 18, also known as "Hong Yu," signifies "Ruby." Developed by the Tea Improvement Station through cross-breeding Taiwan's wild tea with the large-leafed tea from Myanmar, its primary origin is Nantou's Yuchi Township. It is currently Taiwan's most renowned black tea, capable of standing alongside many world-famous black teas and representing Taiwan's black tea with its exceptionally unique varietal.
