The copper-clad silver kettle, as the name suggests, is a silver kettle wrapped with a copper plate and beaten with a silver plate to achieve the artistic effect of "silver as the core and copper as the coat". Copper and silver seem to be far apart, but they are close in softness, ductility, etc., and have a similar effect on improving the taste of tea soup. They are a natural pair. The pot obtained in this way not only has the characteristics of silver, but also has improved durability and heat preservation due to the addition of copper, and has a good collection and art value. Copper-clad silver pot a very complicated and delicate craftsmanship. First of all, it is necessary to beat each of the semi-finished silver and copper pots, and the ratio of the two pots must be very accurately controlled; then the semi-finished copper pot is placed on the silver one then be beaten and quenched. And rely on the ductility of silver and copper to knock out the air in the gap between the two metals to make them fit closely. In addition, the spout of the kettle must be punched out together, which is even more difficult than soldering. When hammering, it is necessary to keep the shape and charm of the pot, but also need to make the two fit together without leaving a gap. It requires a meticulous control on the thickness of the silver and copper sheets, and the strength of the beating. Even though, the failure rate is still high.
