We recommend regularly wiping and conditioning the leather lanyard to extend its lifespan, especially during summer when sweating is common or when in contact with sunscreen. Use a pure water wet wipe to clean the entire leather cord. After it's completely dry, apply oil evenly with a cotton cloth. This will also remove waterproof sunscreen. 2. If the leather becomes soaked, dry it as soon as possible and then reapply oil for protection. Letting it air dry naturally can cause the leather fibers to shrink, deform, and harden. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. 4. In addition to the warmth and oils from your hands gradually giving the leather a natural, warm luster, we recommend regularly wiping it with a dry cloth and then conditioning it with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather develop over time from the combination of dust and ambient moisture. Therefore, if you are storing leather goods for an extended period, first wipe off any dust with a dry cloth, then wrap them in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (you can cut this from an old white cotton t-shirt) and store them in a well-ventilated area. Frequently handling the leather item (to prevent dust and moisture buildup) can also reduce the chance of mold, similar to the principle of "a rolling stone gathers no moss." 6. Avoid using cleaning agents containing alcohol. **Retractable Reel Usage and Care Precautions:** 1. When extending the steel wire, avoid scratching it against other objects. 2. Avoid excessive bending or folding of the steel wire. 3. Only hang items such as standard ID card holders.
