After a local revitalization seminar in 2022, I found myself unable to focus on my original creative work. It felt as if I were possessed, driven by a desire to understand Cijin and local revitalization more deeply. For the past two years, I've been actively involved with partners in Cijin's local revitalization initiatives. I've participated in talks, workshops, volunteer shifts, markets, and guided tours. I've also tried my hand at caricature drawing and watercolor classes. Later, my husband and I even started selling snacks at our doorstep, serving Northern-style noodles, a recipe inherited from my mother who used them to support our family. I've quietly accumulated two years' worth of work, all themed around Cijin. My simple wish is to document the beauty of Cijin.
