**◈ Designer's Notes**
This piece is an ancient masterpiece of blue-toned gemstones.^^
In mineralogy, azurite often coexists with malachite, turquoise, lapis lazuli, cuprite, and various other minerals. It is exceedingly difficult to find large, uniformly colored gemstones (pure green or pure blue). Specimens with multiple colors are especially named **chrysocolla** and **Phoenix Stone**.
This Phoenix Stone features delicate crystalline textures, showcasing large areas of sky blue and indigo hues. Its fine crystallization results in a highly polished, lustrous finish with minimal inclusions, presenting a truly exquisite specimen.^^
Paired with antique blue gemstones, the rare ice-type blue chalcedony, meticulously cut into faceted beads and a pendant, is complemented by opulent silver accents. The interplay of blue and silver evokes a magnificent aura.^^
The overall gemstone pieces are substantial, exuding a sense of opulence and grandeur, with every angle brimming with rich, elegant charm.^^
**This is a one-of-a-kind piece, awaiting its distinguished, wise, and affluent owner.^^**
**Blue Chalcedony**
Blue Chalcedony is one of the oldest gemstones in history, traditionally regarded as a "stone of protection" to ward off nightmares, stress, and fatigue.
Blue Chalcedony is also found in the Coastal Mountain Range of eastern Taiwan, hence Taiwanese blue chalcedony is also known as "Taiwan Blue Sapphire."
The primary component of blue chalcedony is silicon dioxide, containing chrysocolla. The presence of a small amount of copper gives it its oceanic blue, sky blue, and blue-green colors.
Blue chalcedony emanates a tranquil hue, shifting between blue and green, bringing peace and serenity. It aids in cultivating grace, patience, and fostering creativity.
**Azurite**
Azurite, also known as "stone blue," is a copper-bearing mineral, deep blue or light blue in color, with a vitreous luster. However, due to its relatively low hardness (3.5-4), it has rarely been used as a gemstone throughout history. Instead, it was often ground into powder for pigments, used for interior decoration of buildings, or for furniture inlay.
Natural blue gemstones are inherently rare. Azurite's blue is not only beautiful but is also named for its color in various languages (Greek: *kuanos*, Latin: *caeruleum*, English: *azurite*).
Azurite is found in the oxidized zones of copper sulfide ore deposits and often coexists with other copper-bearing minerals (e.g., malachite, chalcocite, cuprite, native copper).
Azurite is not suitable for sunlight purification as its color can fade with sun exposure. Due to its metallic content, it is also not suitable for sea salt purification.
**Turquoise**
Turquoise varies in color from blue and green to light green and yellowish. It is one of the ancient gemstones, revered as a mystical and protective stone in ancient Egypt, Mexico, and Persia. Ancient rulers used turquoise to signify divine authority, political power, and wealth.
The black veins on the surface of turquoise are called "webbing," formed by the oxidation of iron elements within the turquoise. Thus, each web is a unique gift from nature.
Furthermore, turquoise is graded based on its "vitrification" level. Higher vitrification means fewer web lines and a more compact structure, making it rarer.
**Chrysocolla (Phoenix Stone)**
Chrysocolla (also known as Phoenix Stone) is not a typical malachite; it is a gemstone primarily composed of malachite coexisting with various other minerals.
The English name Chrysocolla comes from the Greek words for "gold" and "glue," as its crystalline form closely resembles a soldering substance.
Chrysocolla is found in the oxidized zones of copper ore deposits and often coexists with malachite, azurite, cuprite, native copper, chalcedony, quartz, and turquoise. Thus, its crystals form aggregates without cleavage, resulting in lower hardness.
Due to its coexistence with multiple minerals, chrysocolla crystals exhibit beautiful green, blue, red, and black colors. Large specimens with uniform color, unique patterns of different colors, or fine "gem-like" quality are highly prized by collectors.
Chrysocolla corresponds to the throat and heart chakras. Its colors, reminiscent of Earth's forests, oceans, and lakes, possess an energy that connects us to the planet, allowing us to receive messages from the Earth and the universe.
**Malachite**
Malachite has a long history in human civilization. Ancient Romans, believing in its divine power, dedicated it to Juno, the goddess depicted with a peacock, from which its name is derived.
Malachite's green is renowned as the most vibrant and intense green, characterized by its unique, rich bands of varying shades, exuding an elegant and striking beauty.
Malachite is considered a healing gemstone, assisting in purifying and activating the body's chakras, particularly the heart and throat chakras.
Since ancient times, malachite's energy has been believed to protect people from misfortune, bring success in business, and promote love, peace, and stability.
**Lapis Lazuli**
Historical records indicate that Chinese have used lapis lazuli for at least five thousand years, and Egyptians even earlier, around eight thousand years ago. Chinese emperors used lapis lazuli to worship the heavens, as its blue color resembles the sky, leading people to believe it was a stone that could connect with the divine. Egyptians believed it facilitated communication with the afterlife.
The finest quality lapis lazuli in the world is found in Afghanistan. Afghan lapis lazuli is known for its intense and majestic blue color, earning it the reputation of "Imperial Blue."
When selecting lapis lazuli, look for pieces with a good natural distribution of blue, white (calcite), and gold (pyrite). Due to its formation near the Earth's surface, lapis lazuli has many pores and should not be exposed to water for extended periods. Regular polishing with mineral oil is recommended.

**◈ About Use and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess natural luster and unique textures (tiny black spots, stone patterns, ice cracks, cloudy inclusions, mineral inclusions, asymmetry, and other natural details). When worn frequently, you will observe subtle color changes in the natural gemstones, which often become more translucent and captivating – this is also the best method of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. If they become soiled, avoid using detergents. Clean with water and wipe with a soft cloth. You may also lightly brush with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan. Avoid external force damage or strong acids/alkalis that may cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable. They have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external force damage, or strong acids/alkalis that may cause fading.
4. When jewelry of any material becomes soiled, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of neutral detergent for appropriate materials. After washing, ensure it is dried promptly.
5. When removing jewelry, store it properly in packaging to minimize exposure to air and slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or placing heavy objects on it.
