《Masters of an Era: Gulliver's Travels》
A Test of Humanity and Wisdom
Gulliver, an avid adventurer, is caught in a storm during his favorite sea voyage. Tossed about on the vast ocean, he is repeatedly blown off course, eventually drifting to two lands that appear as if from nowhere on the map: "Lilliput" and "Brobdingnag." In these peculiar worlds, akin to another dimension, a series of thrilling stories unfold, presenting a succession of trials of human nature that blur the lines between reality and fiction. In Lilliput, he is the feared "giant"! Upon arriving in Brobdingnag, he instantly becomes a "dwarf." Faced with two diametrically opposed and comically absurd encounters, how will Gulliver confront these challenges with wisdom, overcome them, and change his destiny! Hoist the sails of your adventurous spirit and embark on this exotic maritime adventure! Face a series of trials that test humanity and wisdom!
《Masters of an Era: The Little Prince》
What is essential is invisible to the eye
On a distant planet, the Little Prince falls in love with his only rose, but the rose's thorns repeatedly wound the boy. Thus, the Little Prince sets off to other planets in search of answers. He traverses the galaxy, encountering proud kings, busy businessmen engrossed in calculations, ignorant geographers, and a variety of adults... Finally, he arrives on Earth. Will this be the end of his journey? And will the answer he seeks be the truth? Let us meet the Little Prince for an unforgettable encounter amidst the vast, rolling sands of the desert.
《Creative Toolbox: Maker Tools, Book 1》
An essential introductory guide for Makers! Hands-on fun for families!
Craft knives, screwdrivers, needle-nose pliers, wire cutters, hammers... These are tools we see very often. Do you know how to use them correctly? Why do we choose to use a craft knife or scissors when opening a package, rather than other tools?
This book introduces 10 common tools that children can find at home. It details their usage and includes hands-on projects, allowing children to understand how to use tools effectively to accomplish tasks with greater ease and efficiency! Beyond introducing tools, this book integrates the STEAM education approach—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics—and interdisciplinary teaching methods. It enables children, grounded in mathematical logic, to learn the essence of science and technology by building engineering projects and appreciating artistic aesthetics through hands-on creation.
※ Author Biographies
Jonathan Swift 1667~1745
An outstanding British novelist, politician, and poet of the 18th century. Born during one of England's most tumultuous periods, when the concept of individual liberty began to rise under a monarchy, facing considerable doubt and challenge. The author uses his fictional protagonist, "Gulliver," to voice his own perspectives. Through the protagonist's accidental voyages to the foreign lands of "Lilliput" and "Brobdingnag," he confronts a series of bizarre experiences and observations that feel both personal and unbelievable. Swift challenges trials of power and human nature, sharply reflecting the many absurd phenomena of contemporary politics, while also clearly outlining the vision of an "ideal state" in people's hearts, thus achieving the renowned work of fantasy satire, *Gulliver's Travels*.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Born in Lyon, France, in 1900. At 21, he began his military career as a cavalryman. At 26, he became a mail pilot. Years later, he disappeared while on a flight mission. He was only 44 years old at the time. His 1943 publication, *The Little Prince*, brought him worldwide fame. Other notable works include *Night Flight* (also included in this volume), *Wind, Sand and Stars*, and *Airman's Odyssey*.
Besides being a pilot, poet, and writer, Saint-Exupéry was also a soldier, husband, and father. He never forgot the little boy within his heart. The dreamlike story of *The Little Prince*, told through the innocent language of a young boy, conveys abundant emotion and poetic beauty. Between the lines lie profound philosophies on love and life, offering warmth and deep resonance.
