Many of our loyal customers who purchase the large boxes have received an incense holder, leading to an accumulation at home. To prevent waste, we've introduced a new option. The price remains the same, but instead of an incense holder, you'll receive a Palo Santo pyramid made in Peru (compressed from Palo Santo powder). If you already have a suitable incense holder at home (please note that our self-made incense sticks are thick and may not fit standard holes), you can opt for this choice.
The pyramid option and the incense holder are offered because long-time customers exclusively buy the large boxes, which always come with an incense holder. This has led to feedback that their collection of incense holders is now extensive. Hence, we've added an alternative. The pyramid is made from Palo Santo powder and binder, shaped into a pyramid, and is also combustible.
P.S. Many customers mention that our incense sticks are too thick to fit into incense holders. Dear customers! These are designed as "lying incense" (臥香), not "standing incense" (立香)! Standing incense has a base, while lying incense is meant to be burned horizontally, with ash underneath. Alternatively, you can insert them into an incense burner, similar to ritual incense!
Introducing our limited-edition Midday Dragon Boat Festival White Sage Cone Incense. It's said that all our self-made incense is made with well water collected at noon on the Dragon Boat Festival. "Midday water" refers to water drawn at noon (11 AM to 1 PM) on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, the most potent solar day of the year. Midday water from the Dragon Boat Festival is believed to ward off misfortune, bring good luck, and possess protective qualities, also known as "extreme yang water." It can be used for healing, purification, cleansing homes, dispelling miasma, and boosting fortune. This limited batch was kneaded before noon and placed outside to sunbathe precisely at noon, absorbing the most potent yang energy of the year. This incense can only be made during this specific hour, hence its limited sale. Some customers inquire about the price difference for the Midday Edition compared to the regular version. Personally, I feel the yang energy is more abundant. The primary reason for the limited production is that it can only be made once a year. The process requires precise preparation of the dispelling powder and binder, mixing them with last year's midday water within two hours before sun exposure, making it labor-intensive and costly. However, the regular dispelling incense is already quite effective, so please consider this information.

Origin Story:
This has truly been a long-awaited release. I've wanted to create my own brand of incense for quite some time. Although I import natural foreign botanicals, which are inherently superior, I've encountered issues with moisture leading to difficult ignition or short burning times. I always thought how convenient it would be if everyone could have stable, long-burning Palo Santo incense. Palo Santo is such a wonderful ingredient; imagine how much more practical it would be if it were easy to carry, use, and burn for an extended period!
With this idea in mind, I embarked on a "challenging" journey. Finding a manufacturer willing to help produce the incense took a considerable amount of time, as I desired my incense to be purely natural. I believe the integrity and methods of the incense maker directly influence the quality and energy of the incense. Fortunately, fate has been kind to my intentions, allowing me to find a traditional incense master, a rarity in Taiwan today. Though young, he trained under veteran incense masters, developing his skills through a solid foundation. Moreover, these older masters emphasize every step and aspect of incense making, even the timing and auspicious days. Initially, the master frowned upon my raw materials, as he had never encountered them before and was unsure about the proportions or how to handle the humidity and climate. It took considerable effort and research to develop the process. Thankfully, this batch of incense was ultimately created successfully. I must say, this batch has been universally praised for its quality and scent. It retains the original Palo Santo aroma but is subtly fragrant and long-lasting, without any harshness, making it incredibly pleasant. Some customers who tried it previously have since repurchased. As for its energetic properties, I'll leave that for you to discover.
Brand Exclusivity:
Taiwanese incense-making techniques originate from China, boasting a long and rich history. The intricate details are well-documented in classic texts like "Xiang Cheng" and "Xiang Dian." During China's Cultural Revolution, when incense heritage was nearly lost, Taiwan independently developed and refined these techniques for an extended period. Consequently, Taiwan's incense-making skills surpass those of many other countries. Currently, most Palo Santo incense sticks or cones are produced in Peru or other American countries. While they possess an authentic, raw charm, their quality can be rough. Among Taiwanese-made Palo Santo incense, besides mine, there is only one other brand. Their differentiator is that they process the original Palo Santo sawdust (wood shavings) by removing the oil and drying it to a fine powder, intended for Palo Santo essential oil production. I, however, use the original Palo Santo sawdust. Therefore, my incense exhibits distinct traces of Palo Santo powder. The binder used is a high-grade natural adhesive (as binders also vary in quality). Because the oil is not removed, I cannot produce extremely thin incense sticks; they are slightly thicker (less than 1mm difference). However, the aroma is significantly more robust than incense made from defatted and dried powder.
Natural and Healthy:
To ensure you can use our quality incense with peace of mind, the entire product consists of just two components: Palo Santo sawdust (un-defatted, un-dried) and a natural, high-grade binder. It is absolutely natural, pure, and non-toxic. If anything else is added, it's my abundant blessings and love!
Favored by Deities:
Palo Santo has been revered as sacred wood since ancient times, widely used by indigenous peoples of the Americas and an indispensable plant for local shamans. Interestingly, it possesses a unique characteristic: both Eastern and Western guardian deities seem to favor its aroma, particularly the God of Wealth. Perhaps it's because of its sweet scent (deities often favor sweet things). Therefore, using it to invoke guardian deities or the God of Wealth can yield excellent results!
Palo Santo Introduction:
Inca Palo Santo is a "sacred wood" used by indigenous peoples of the Americas in rituals thousands of years ago. It holds profound significance for these communities. Lower-grade Palo Santo is burned during ceremonies to purify spaces and connect with the spirit world. Medium-grade Palo Santo is used to craft ceremonial staffs and scepters. The highest quality Palo Santo is even forbidden from harvesting and is worshipped as divine.
For Space Purification:
Light the Palo Santo incense stick and hold it (or place it in an incense burner or censer). Move in a counter-clockwise direction around the space you wish to purify, whether it's a room, car, etc. Alternatively, simply light the incense and allow the smoke to naturally diffuse and circulate within the space for purification.
For Personal Purification:
Light the Palo Santo incense stick and hold it (or place it in an incense burner or censer). Hold it about 15 cm away from your body, tracing the outline of your body (primarily ensuring the smoke envelops you). This includes your head, front, back, sides, and the soles of your feet (lift your feet). When moving around the sides, hold your hands out level, again tracing the outline. Alternatively, simply light the incense and let the smoke naturally diffuse and circulate for purification.
How to Use:
These are "lying incense" (臥香), meaning they can be burned horizontally or vertically. Lying incense is the form of incense-making that most closely retains the original raw material's aroma.
How to Light:
Insert into an incense holder (incense stand) or lay it flat, ensuring ash is placed underneath. Use a lighter to ignite the incense stick (after lighting, extinguish the flame, leaving only an ember to continue burning).
Usage Time:
There are no restrictions. Some say not to burn incense at night, but consider that essential oils, perfumes, body washes, and sprays all carry scents. Ultimately, your intention is what matters most. When the mind is free from attachments, there is no fear, and all delusions are dispelled.
Usage Location:
There are no restrictions. Suitable for any room or office.
Amount to Use:
Use according to your personal needs. I personally suggest using it for mindful appreciation, with purification as a beneficial secondary function.
