Myrtle Berry Dyed Organic Cotton Aran Knit Low Gauge Socks
When creating basic organic cotton socks, we focused on a pleasant texture, a non-constricting fit, and a knit pattern that would complement any style.
The low gauge offers a fluffy feel, while the smooth yarn provides warmth and a sense of comfort. The elegant Aran knit pattern adds a subtle accent, making them stylish yet simple. They are also recommended for layering to keep your feet warm.
These socks are dyed with myrtle berries, resulting in a beautiful camel color.
A sophisticated, bright shade reminiscent of a rich yellow.
They offer a relaxed fit without being constricting. While they contain 8% polyester and nylon for stretch, these materials are used in areas that do not directly contact the skin.
These Aran knit low gauge socks were produced by a sock factory in Nara Prefecture with 70 years of history. Skilled artisans have crafted socks that truly showcase the quality of organic cotton.
They are perfect for year-round wear: on their own in spring and autumn, for air-conditioning in the summer, and for layering in colder months.
These socks also make a wonderful gift.

[What is Botanical Dyeing?]
Botanical dyeing is a technique that extracts dyes from plants such as flowers, leaves, roots, stems, trees, bark, and fruits. A protein-based adhesive is evenly applied to the fabric to help the natural dye bind, followed by the addition of a small amount of chemical dye. This process enhances colorfastness (resistance to fading from light, sweat, and washing, and helps stabilize the pigments) without the need for a mordant, resulting in beautiful, natural colors on the fabric.
Natural dyes are not composed of a single element like chemical dyes. Each color contains multiple pigments. The interplay of weak and strong pigments creates a soft, diffused reflection, rendering the color gently to our eyes. We hope you enjoy the vibrant yet deep and gentle hues of botanical dyeing.
Botanical dyeing is also an eco-friendly method, as it generates less water pollution and consumes less water during the dyeing process, making it kind to both the planet and people.
