Embroidered patches are often referred to as embroidered appliques, patches, iron-on patches, or embroidery pieces. However, most embroidered appliques require ironing to adhere them to fabric materials or to cover holes in clothing. Our embroidered patches feature an adhesive backing that is sticky without ironing. They can be applied to smooth, non-fabric surfaces, making them ideal as stickers for water bottles, phone cases, laptops, notebooks, pencil cases, helmets, luggage, and more. Let's create something unique with our patches! 🏷 How do I use embroidered patches? Using our embroidered patches is simple~ ▪️ For smooth, non-fabric surfaces: Peel off the backing and stick. No ironing needed, and they stay put! ▪️ For fabric surfaces: Preheat your iron to 150°C. Place a pressing cloth over the patch to prevent the embroidery threads from being damaged by the high heat. Iron back and forth for 20-25 seconds. Allow it to cool completely for a secure bond. For added durability, reinforce with needle and thread. If you don't have an iron, sewing it onto fabric with a sewing machine or by hand will also ensure a strong attachment! 🏷 What if I can't iron or am unsure about ironing a fabric? For materials that cannot be ironed (e.g., down jackets, nylon, leather, waterproof fabrics) or if you're unsure about ironing, we recommend sewing it on with a sewing machine or by hand for a secure fix. This will prevent high heat from damaging your fabric! 🏷 How strong is the adhesive? Will it fall off easily? Our embroidered patches have a sufficient adhesive backing. They are unlikely to fall off when applied to regular smooth, non-fabric surfaces. If applying to fabric (clothing, pants, hats, etc.), please iron it on and reinforce with sewing for increased durability. 🏷 Will the embroidered patches fall off if washed? Once ironed and reinforced with sewing, the embroidered patches can be machine washed without easily falling off. We recommend washing them inside out in a laundry bag. 🏷 Can embroidered patches be reapplied? The adhesive backing on our embroidered patches is for single use and cannot be reapplied. We suggest deciding on the placement before sticking. If you peel it off and wish to reuse it, the fabric part of the embroidered patch can still be sewn onto fabric for decoration! 🏷 Will there be residue after removing the embroidered patch? Our embroidered patches have a strong adhesive. Some residue may remain after removal. This residue can be cleaned with sticker removers or adhesive solvents. Before cleaning, please check if your item's surface material is suitable for cleaning agents to avoid damaging your item! Do not use a hairdryer to remove residue, as the adhesive can melt when exposed to heat, making it stickier and harder to remove!
