A Word from the Shopkeeper:
This white sage stick incense has truly been a long-awaited creation!
For many years, I've envisioned creating an incense that not only preserves the original scent of white sage but also burns consistently and can be used anytime, anywhere. My goal was to make it effortless for everyone to enjoy natural aromas at home, in their studios, or while traveling. However, natural botanicals are susceptible to humidity and climate, sometimes making them difficult to light and resulting in inconsistent burn times. This vision truly took a long time to realize.
White sage has been revered since ancient times as a purifying herb, capable of clearing spaces and energies, and enhancing spiritual experiences.
Its aroma is fresh and pure, with a natural herbaceous sweetness, making it perfect for daily incense burning, meditation, or cleansing rituals.
However, natural white sage has a limitation: it must be ground into a powder to be made into incense.
Furthermore, it can be difficult to light during humid weather, and its burn time is often unstable, making it a craft that very few in Taiwan can master.
To ensure ease of use, I spent an entire year searching for incense masters willing to take on this challenge and overcame numerous technical hurdles: determining the right proportions, controlling humidity and temperature, and preserving the original aroma of white sage... every detail required immense effort.
After countless tests and adjustments, the result is incense with a pure aroma and stable burn, fully retaining the fresh, clean, sweet, and gentle characteristics of white sage.
If you've experienced our Palo Santo incense, you'll already recognize the quality; this white sage incense is equally unmissable!
Brand Exclusive:
Taiwan's incense-making techniques have roots in China, boasting a long history and meticulous craftsmanship. However, the tradition was nearly lost during the Cultural Revolution.
Over the years, Taiwanese incense masters have continuously refined their skills, and current production standards even surpass those of many other countries.
Most white sage stick incense available on the market today originates from the United States or other American countries.
While they retain the original essence, the quality is often crude, the aroma during burning differs significantly from the raw leaves, and the prices are relatively high.
For instance, a box from a well-known American brand, containing about 10 sticks of 20cm length, costs around NT$350.
We are among the few brands in Taiwan that produce white sage stick incense ourselves. Crafted by experienced traditional incense masters,
it fully preserves the natural aroma and energy of white sage, offering stable quality and long-lasting burn.
We provide a safe and pure choice for those who love natural incense.
First Batch Completed:
When the first batch of incense was finished, I was deeply moved.
The first time I lit it, the familiar scent of white sage slowly drifted out.
That clean, fresh, herbaceous aroma gently permeated the space.
The reaction from many first-time sniffers was consistently the same: "So clean, so comforting."
It's not overpowering or harsh like some incenses; it's a natural sense of freshness.
The air felt as if it had been gently tidied, and in that moment, I knew—this incense was finally complete.
About White Sage:
Native to the southwestern United States and the California region.
It is a perennial plant that grows on dry, sunny hillsides.
For centuries, white sage has been one of the most important plants in the rituals of North American indigenous peoples.
In many tribal cultures, burning white sage is considered a sacred ceremony used for: purifying spaces, prayer rituals, energy clearing, and welcoming new beginnings.
Therefore, white sage is often referred to as: "Sacred Sage."
Brand Features:
Natural & Healthy: Uses only two ingredients:
White sage powder from California, USA, and natural premium binder.
No added fragrances, no chemical scents, 100% natural.
Authentic Ingredients: White sage is imported directly by the brand.
After being ground into powder, it's made into incense, preserving the plant's original aroma and energy.
Traditional Taiwanese Incense Making: Handcrafted by rare traditional incense masters in Taiwan, preserving traditional techniques and natural aromas.
How to Use:
Space Purification: Light the incense and hold it, or place it in an incense burner or censer.
Move in a counter-clockwise direction around the space, allowing the smoke to flow through the air.
Suitable for rooms, living areas, studios, cars, and other spaces.
Personal Purification: Light the incense and move it along the outline of your body: above your head, shoulders, front, back, sides, and down to your feet, allowing the smoke to naturally come into contact with your body.
Instructions | Simple 6 Steps:
1️⃣ Prepare a container: Use an incense holder or a ceramic incense tray like 'One Leaf Falling Autumn'.
2️⃣ Place the incense: Insert the incense into the holder or the ceramic tray.
3️⃣ Light the incense: Use a long-handled lighter to ignite the incense. Once the tip is glowing red and burning steadily, extinguish the flame.
4️⃣ Quiet contemplation: As the smoke rises, close your eyes and set your intention (e.g., for good fortune, a peaceful home, letting go, warding off negativity).
5️⃣ Purify the space: You can hold the incense burner and walk clockwise around your home, starting from the entrance. Focus on corners, the head of the bed, the desk, and the entryway.
6️⃣ Natural dissipation: After the ritual, allow the smoke to dissipate naturally. Avoid opening windows for about 10-20 minutes to let the energy settle.
Large Box Incense Gift Option Explanation:
As many loyal customers have been purchasing large boxes of incense for a long time, and each came with an incense holder, leading to an accumulation of holders at home, we have introduced the following options:
A. Metal Incense Holder Version: Comes with a 9-hole, 2cm high metal incense holder.
B. Palo Santo Pyramid Version: Comes with a Palo Santo pyramid made in Peru (pressed from Palo Santo powder, can be lit directly).
Both options are priced the same. You can choose based on your personal needs.
If you already have a suitable incense holder at home, we highly recommend the Palo Santo pyramid version for better resource utilization.
About Incense Thickness: Many customers ask:
"Why is your incense thicker and doesn't fit into a regular incense holder?" The reason is simple:
This is a "reclining incense" (臥香) design, not an upright incense (立香). Upright incense typically has a base, while reclining incense lies flat as it burns.
How to use: Lay flat on ashes or use with a suitable holder for reclining incense.
The advantage of reclining incense is that it offers an aroma and essence closest to the raw material itself.
Limited Edition | Dragon Boat Festival Noon Edition:
All our self-made incense products are crafted using well water collected at noon on the Dragon Boat Festival.
"Noon water" refers to water collected on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, during the noon hour (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM).
In traditional folk beliefs, noon water symbolizes the most potent yang energy.
It is believed to: ward off misfortune, cleanse the body and home, dispel impurities and evil spirits, and enhance luck. This limited Dragon Boat Festival Noon Edition is even more special.
Production Method:
The incense dough is kneaded before noon, and the incense is sun-dried at the peak of noon.
Thus, it absorbs the strongest yang energy and sunlight of the year.
It can only be produced during one specific time slot each year, making the quantity extremely limited.
