This small cup is a harmonious blend of a gentle, off-white matte glaze and a palette of colorful glazes that evoke the hues of spring. The white clay allows the colors to shine through, resulting in a charming piece. It serves beautifully as a teacup or as a dish for your culinary creations. Pouring green tea into it as a teacup will highlight the vibrant colors of the cup against the tea's verdant shade, offering a distinctly spring-like aesthetic. All stages of production, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses a unique character, offering a charm that can only come from handmade craftsmanship. To address this, all our ceramic items undergo a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial soaking (me-d Take). This waterproofing process requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you prefer not to have the waterproofing treatment applied, please inform us at the time of purchase. - We strive to capture and edit product images to accurately represent the actual item. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
