It releases a sweet, vanilla, and balsamic scent, reminiscent of the Orient. The unique perfume of these small papers comes from benzoin resin, whose purifying virtues were discovered in Armenia by Auguste Ponsot during his travels in 1885. He decided to introduce the benefits of benzoin to France. Benzoin was previously used externally to treat asthma, coughs, and colds; today, it is still used as a therapeutic agent. It perfumes your home and eliminates odors caused by cooking, tobacco, pets, etc. The Papier d'Armenie Tradition booklets were a great success, notably at the Hygiene Exhibition in 1888 and the Universal Exhibition in 1889. How to use: Take a strip of perfumed paper, fold it like an accordion, place it upright on a heat-resistant surface, light it, then blow out the flame to avoid ignition, as it needs to burn slowly.
