Its surface has a warm, matte finish that becomes more lustrous with wear, developing a patina over time. The manufacturing process involves repeatedly grinding cinnabar into fine particles to form a paste, which is then mixed with water and allowed to settle. The upper "cloudy liquid" is collected, and the sediment is air-dried and then pressed using ancient methods. Fine, glittering mineral specks are still visible on its cross-section. 'Emperor Sand' Possesses a more vibrant, true red hue and higher hardness. This type is progressively purified from raw natural cinnabar ore through multiple steps including **crushing/grinding/magnetic separation/water flotation/high polishing**, followed by ancient pressing techniques. Emperor Sand typically has no visible mineral sparkle on its surface, but it's present internally. The exterior is finished with a **high-polishing** process, giving it a metallic sheen, especially striking in sunlight. It is processed from raw natural cinnabar ore through steps like **crushing/grinding/screening**, but **without water flotation purification**. You can use the following methods for identification: . Burning cinnabar will cause it to turn black. (Please heat indirectly. It is generally not recommended to directly burn finished products, as controlling the time and area is difficult. Prolonged burning will cause blackening that cannot be reversed.) . Real cinnabar can draw an orangish-red line on paper. (To avoid damaging the appearance of the finished product, please mark on an inconspicuous area or use one of the complimentary beads for marking.) > Care If cinnabar jewelry does not contain metal or plant-based components (such as wood, bamboo, Bodhi seeds, etc.), it can be lightly exposed to water but should not be soaked for extended periods, as this can affect its luster.
