This rice bowl was made by combining these elements. The vessel has a soft, rounded appearance, but the base is slightly smaller, giving it a clean appearance. It is deep enough to hold moist rice dishes such as rice with raw egg on top and rice porridge. The turquoise color pairs well with yellow and red, and is recommended for dishes such as rice cooked with corn or sweet potato, or tomato risotto. In addition to rice dishes, these bowls can also be used to serve soups such as minestrone and potage, or small side dishes such as meat and potato stew or tofu with sweet bean paste. I use a small electric furnace and an electric potter's wheel at home, and all processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and firing, are done by hand. It is a little heavy to hold, but that gives it a ceramic feel. Although they cannot be mass-produced, each one has its own unique character, allowing you to enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand.
