Hand-Molded Ceramic Draining Soap Dish | Heyu Soap Simple lines × Handmade warmth × Just the right feel for use ❍ About this piece From the washbasin to the work desk, we wanted to create a soap dish that is truly functional and beautiful. Through our own use, we gradually explored and refined it, creating a simple form with a touch of thoughtful design. It perfectly cradles a bar of soap and allows water to drain away just right. Not flashy, but truly practical. We chose terracotta clay, a material with a slightly coarse grain. The fired pieces are not as delicate as porcelain, but they possess a natural simplicity and honesty that you can feel and see. The surface may have some variations in color, small pores, or fine glaze cracks. These are not flaws, but rather the natural traces it acquired during its creation. ❍ Material Terracotta clay, glaze ❍ Dimensions The soap dish is specifically designed for handmade soaps, measuring approximately 8 × 6 × 2.5 cm. Its size is just right, allowing soap bars to rest securely and making it convenient to use. (Each piece is handmade, so dimensions may vary slightly.) ❍ Craftsmanship Details Each piece is fired at high temperatures twice for durability. Occasional pores, natural glaze variations, or fine crack lines on the surface are characteristics naturally formed by the clay material and the firing process. As each piece is handcrafted, the curvature and glaze distribution will vary slightly, giving each item its unique character. ❍ Packaging & Sustainability All our shipments are packaged using recycled bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. While it may not be exquisitely presented, for us, giving every resource a second life is the better choice.
