Plant-dyed pieces naturally evolve over time with use, so please embrace their unique characteristics. 【About the Studio】 Alupalan, the indigenous Taiwanese persimmon tree, provides the healthiest and most natural dye for our Alubalan Dye Tribe studio. The bark is dried and boiled to create dye liquid; the leaves are used for pounding into fabric; and fermented fruit serves as a material for brush dyeing. The entire tree is utilized, making Alupalan our most precious, natural gift. Alubalan dyeing requires a lengthy transformation and setting process. Only after the natural colors stabilize are the materials crafted into products. The transformation process is influenced by temperature and humidity, making each finished product unique and exuding natural beauty. For plant dyeing, we use fukugi for yellow, camphor wood for red, and indigo grass for blue dyes. All dyes have been SGS certified, free from chemical agents and harmful substances. They are crafted into goods only after the natural colors stabilize. Fabric dyeing is like the changing seasons, ultimately presenting the most serene hues of life to you, unique and irreplaceable, just like each of us. Plant-dyed products are achieved by extracting natural plant pigments; therefore, they require your careful attention. Precautions: After purchasing, please do not store the item in a damp place or expose it to prolonged direct sunlight. Use a neutral detergent, such as a small amount of soap or dish soap. Soak for 1-2 hours. If there are noticeable stains, gently rub with your hands before rinsing with clean water. Air dry in a cool place. Low-temperature ironing is permissible.
