This is a new addition to our Chinese hair ornament brooch series, a style we haven't released in a while.
Our Chinese hair ornament brooches are inspired by the hair ornaments that adorned the women of history, particularly those known for their tragic tales.
This new piece features one of China's three most infamous female figures. A "flower of evil" like you've never seen!
Some may shy away from the idea of an "evil woman," but we're presenting this as a trilogy.
This is the third installment.
We're introducing them in chronological order, starting with women from earlier eras.
The other brooches partially visible around this one are the first and second pieces in the series.
A "flower of evil" must be beautiful to begin with!
Furthermore, this is an unprecedented, exceptionally large size.
Please take a look at the intricate craftsmanship in every detail!
When I previously submitted pieces to a certain venue or entered a competition, I received advice suggesting the use of higher-quality materials. This new series of Chinese hair ornament brooches is, in part, my response to that feedback.
As an answer to the call for quality, I've gathered various high-value materials, chosen for their exquisite design down to the smallest detail.
Empress Dowager Cixi was a consort of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty.
After Emperor Xianfeng's death, she wielded real power for approximately 50 years as Empress Dowager, first through her son Emperor Tongzhi and then her nephew Emperor Guangxu.
During her reign, her misgovernance gradually weakened the Qing Dynasty's national strength, and just three years after her death, the Qing Dynasty fell to the Xinhai Revolution.
She is also the only one of the three infamous women to have had her photograph taken.
This is because she lived in a much more recent era (the 19th century).
While only photographs from her later years exist, reconstructions based on these suggest she was incredibly beautiful in her youth.
As she was known to favor jade, her theme color is, of course, jade green.
For Empress Dowager Cixi, I've gathered various jade-like green Japan vintage lampwork beads (three types of large round beads) and cabochons (top center).
Jade is famous as an expensive gemstone, and the glass components used here are also valuable in their own right.
These are from the Cherry Brand, which once captivated the world with its beauty and continues to be widely popular today.
The small round beads are Swarovski crystal pearls.
The sixth image compares this brooch to the Yang Guifei brooch (right), which was the largest in our Chinese hair ornament brooch series to date.
I hope this conveys its size.
The seventh image shows all three brooches from this "evil woman" trilogy.
The other two pieces are presented on separate pages.

All brooches in the "evil woman" series are one-of-a-kind.
This is due to the inevitably higher selling price in today's climate, the uncertain demand for "evil women," and the concentration of limited materials into a single piece.
If you find yourself drawn to it, please consider purchasing it soon...
A silicone brooch stopper is included for your peace of mind.

The dangling parts are delicately crafted, so please handle them with care.
As vintage materials are used, please understand that minor scratches, slight tarnishing, and variations in color or shape may be present, which are part of the charm that time has brought.
The components are attached to the base with nylon thread.
While they may feel slightly mobile, they are securely fastened to prevent detachment, ensuring safe use.
Beads are arranged to minimize the visibility of the setting's base, but due to the need to secure components with the setting's prongs, the base may be visible in those areas.
Due to its weight, please avoid using this on delicate fabrics where needle holes might be noticeable.
Before purchasing, please carefully review the "Size" and "Materials" of the artwork.
Colors may appear differently on screen than in person. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Product images are taken in natural light unless otherwise specified.
