For jewelry enthusiasts and collectors of antique pieces, the name "Krementz" is synonymous with high quality and fine craftsmanship, as the brand was known for using high-plating and premium materials. Legend has it that a significant collection of Krementz jewelry was aboard the Titanic when it sank. Indeed, Krementz is a renowned brand that has stood the test of time.
This piece possesses excellent quality, but it is still a vintage item, so please refrain from comparing it to new items or holding it to exacting standards. 🙏🏻

💎 Regarding rhinestone (rhine) jewelry: It is common for vintage pieces to develop some cloudiness, darkening, or discoloration on the metal backing over time. This can make the rhinestones appear to have dark spots or look less brilliant. These conditions are unavoidable, even with high-end brands. Therefore, if these aspects concern you, we recommend reconsidering vintage jewelry with stones.

**Brand Story:**
The history of Krementz jewelry began in the 1860s when George Krementz founded his company in Newark, New Jersey. Initially, the focus was on men's jewelry, such as collar tabs, cufflinks, and buttons.
In 1920, the company expanded to produce women's accessories. Necklaces, brooches, and other types of women's jewelry quickly gained popularity. By the 1930s, Krementz began international sales of its products.
By 1886, they transitioned to using gold overlay for their jewelry, achieving a higher quality finish through thin layers of gold plating. Krementz jewelers used gold plating that was 30 times thicker than that commonly used in the manufacturing of fine jewelry brands. The intention was to create pieces with a distinct value between costume jewelry and precious gems. Furthermore, Krementz created pieces during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, which produced many exemplary jewelry designs. Their excellent condition is a testament to their superior quality, making Krementz pieces highly valued by collectors.
Krementz continued to produce gold-plated jewelry until 1980. Subsequently, the company's new owner, Richard Krements, began producing jewelry using high-quality 18K gold and platinum with inlays, particularly featuring unusual gemstones like tanzanite and tourmaline, as well as more familiar emeralds and sapphires.
Today, the company's products are highly prized and continue to be produced under the name "Krementz Jewelry."
