If you like irregular vessels, or want to feel the temperature and plasticity of clay more directly, the hand-kneading experience course will be the best choice for you!

✔One-class experience class for making pottery
A piece of soil can be slowly shaped by hands, or combined with machines to show the beauty of smoothness and symmetry.
If you like objects with regular lines and delicate texture, or want to experience the healing charm of clay spinning on the clay table, the clay throwing experience course will be your best choice!

【Course Content】
Making daily utensils
Mainly teaches basic hand kneading/pulling and embryo repairing techniques
You can freely choose the utensils you want to make, and you are also welcome to collect photos of the shapes you want to make and discuss them with us in class!
▸ Example: bowls, vases, various daily utensils

Finished product size 15x15x15cm

【Notes about the work】
After the work is completed, we will fire and glaze it (dry, bisque, glaze)
You will need to wait for about 1 month.
After the finished product leaves the kiln, a notice will be issued and you can pick it up at the studio. If you need to mail it, the postage will be charged separately.

【Number of people】 Only 1 person is needed to start a class, and a maximum of 2 people per class
【Cost】 One person making pottery $800; Two people making pottery $1400 (kiln firing fee is not included)

⭐️Firing fee: finished product volume length x width x height x 0.18 + 20 (you can try to measure the utensils at home to refer to the firing fee)
◟The work will shrink during firing, and the kiln fee will be calculated based on the size of the work after it leaves the kiln!

【Glaze color introduction】
The studio currently uses a reduction firing method with gas in an electric kiln.
The glaze color used for students' works is mainly the celadon glaze that we commonly use.

The green color of celadon is mainly due to a small amount of iron.
We use the soil from Tainan, collect it ourselves, remove impurities and sift it, then add it to the glaze in different proportions to make our own celadon glaze.
Celadon sometimes looks blue and sometimes looks green. This may be the charm of celadon, because the light determines the color of the vessel.
