Material Description: The 14k gold-filled material frequently used in the mixandfun design studio is a layer of 1/20 14k gold plated onto a brass surface. It's a popular material in recent years, known for being easier to care for and maintain, with a longer-lasting color. Its price is also more accessible compared to solid 14k gold materials. Solid 14k gold material, on the other hand, is entirely composed of 14k gold, both inside and out. The gold content is approximately 58.5%, with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, caring for solid 14k gold is even more effortless, and its color presentation is more refined. If you have sensitive skin, solid 14k gold is also a consideration. Special alloy is another material we often use. Mixandfun specifically selects and custom-plates unplated chains that we personally favor. As a result, under normal wear conditions, the color can be quite enduring. Wearing Precautions: 1. It is recommended to wear all jewelry after dressing and remove it before changing into loungewear at home. It is not advised to wear jewelry while bathing, visiting hot springs, or swimming. 2. For earrings, it is suggested to use the included silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's hot and humid weather, if jewelry is not worn for an extended period, gently wipe it with a soft cloth before storing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, develop a habit of fastening the clasp when removing them. This helps reduce tangling. 5. For 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, or special alloy pieces, expect signs of wear over time with prolonged use. Your understanding is appreciated. 6. Maintenance Tip: If you suddenly notice oxidation on your jewelry, don't panic. You can use an old bowl, add some water and a pinch of salt, and include a small piece of aluminum foil. Place your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry in this mixture for about 10 minutes, then remove. It should regain its shine. (Material compositions may vary slightly by brand). It is recommended to start with less expensive silver pieces for this method. 7. You can place solid gold or regular alloy jewelry in your palm. Take an old toothbrush, dip it in a small amount of toothpaste, and gently brush the piece for about half a minute. Rinse with clean water, and it should sparkle again.
