Vintage English bone china teacup and saucer made by Royal Albert

Vintage English bone china teacup and saucer from the Queen's Messenger series made by Royal Albert. Westbury series made by Royal Albert. Thomas C. Wild bought the Albert Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1895. This factory had been named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Consort. It specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs, and it soon gained a reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets, firmly establishing the Royal Albert name. The Queen's Messenger design was introduced in the 1960s and based on the mark at the bottom, this is an early set. It features a Hampton style cup and scalloped saucer. This set is in undamaged, fairly good condition. There is some wear only on the gold tones of both the cup and the saucer. The saucer has some surface marks on the glaze as well as a little wear on the print.
