This miniature succulent is charming and perfect for small, combined plantings. Using a smaller pot is generally recommended. Its main growth periods are in the cooler spring and autumn seasons, requiring a certain level of air humidity. It is drought-tolerant but not cold-hardy. Avoid high temperatures, humidity, and direct sun. It dislikes shade and waterlogged soil. As its name suggests, Hime Gyokuro is a petite, translucent, and delicately colored succulent from the Haworthia family, known for its charming appearance. The tips of its leaves (which enthusiasts refer to as the "window") are transparent or semi-transparent, appearing round and lustrous like jade in sunlight – this is the highly prized "window translucency." | Temperature | While Hime Gyokuro can survive in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 40°C, the optimal growing conditions are between 15°C and 25°C with humidity between 70-90%. During spring and autumn, when temperatures are ideal, Hime Gyokuro grows rapidly. Its internal moisture may not fully saturate the leaves, making them appear somewhat deflated, and the window's surface might have a slightly chalky luster, reducing its transparency. In summer, high temperatures cause Hime Gyokuro to stop growing and enter dormancy. The window surface turns pale and its translucency decreases. In winter, maintaining temperatures above 5°C results in slow growth and a semi-dormant state.
