It purifies indoor air by reducing harmful substances like formaldehyde, making it an excellent houseplant. Despite having "orchid" in its name, this plant is not related to orchids at all. Snake plants are a type of succulent, even though their appearance is far from typical succulents, leaning more towards foliage plants. However, taxonomically, Sansevieria belongs to the Asparagaceae family, subfamily Nolinoideae, and is a tropical plant. Thus, in classification, it can be considered a succulent. Snake plants originate from various regions, with approximately 70 species distributed worldwide, from Africa to Asia. Snake plants are not demanding regarding their living environment, making them ideal for decorating living rooms, studies, and other spaces.
