Cold brew coffee has become a darling of the specialty coffee scene in recent years! Using room temperature or iced water to steep coffee for an extended period at low temperatures allows natural sweetness to be released, offering a refreshing experience for many coffee enthusiasts.
Cold brew coffee boasts a rich, smooth body with mild bitterness and pronounced sweetness. A slight fermentation further enhances its complexity, much like a fine brewed wine, allowing for the appreciation of delicate flavors such as chocolate undertones, fruity aromas, and floral notes – the primary reasons for its popularity. We've selected coffee beans that yield delicious results when cold-brewed and crafted them into convenient cold brew drip bags for everyone to enjoy!

**Flavor Notes**
**Aroma**: Abundant, uplifting floral notes, accompanied by a subtle spicy scent reminiscent of fresh ginger.
**Taste**: Sweet! Distinct citrus flavors. It also carries the character of Luye Red Oolong tea, creating an intriguing blend of tea and coffee aromas.
**Aftertaste**: Exceptionally sweet and lingering. When you inhale after sipping, you'll detect a faint aroma of honey and roasted tea.
**Barista's Notes**
This "Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Maru Smallholder" coffee offers a richly layered tasting experience.
Beyond the traditionally bright fruit flavors and clean finish, its unique characteristic is a flavor profile akin to Taiwan's Luye Red Oolong, which might lead one to believe they are sipping a lightly roasted oolong tea. The acidity is clean and restrained, with a lingering sweetness in the aftertaste.
We particularly enjoy how its profile transforms across different temperatures: the floral notes are bright when hot, the tea-like character emerges when lukewarm, and when cooled, it even develops a candied citrus note that is truly memorable.

• You seek an elegant departure from the traditional, desiring to experience an uplifting Yirgacheffe with a vibrant aroma.

**Drip Bag Usage Instructions**
**1. Just Three Steps! Effortless Cold Brew:**
1. Place the coffee drip bag into a clean container.
2. Pour in room temperature water at the appropriate ratio; one 15g bag is recommended for approximately 250ml of water.
3. Refrigerate for about 24 hours to achieve delicious cold brew coffee.
For direct consumption, a coffee-to-water ratio of 1:13-1:16 (1g coffee grounds to 13g-15g water) is suggested. If adding milk, use a ratio of about 1:7.
The strength can be adjusted to your preference. Longer steeping times will release more coffee flavor and result in a richer taste.
Cold brew coffee also pairs wonderfully with milk or plant-based milks like oat milk. If adding milk or ice, it's recommended to use less water during the steeping process.
**2. Drip Bags Are Convenient for Hot Brewing Too!**
Use hot water between 90-95°C (avoid using boiling water directly). Steep for about 7-8 minutes, adjusting the time based on your desired concentration.
For one 15g bag, approximately 250ml-300ml of water is recommended. After steeping, you can gently shake the drip bag to ensure even extraction of the grounds within, then remove the bag and enjoy your coffee.
**Consumption and Storage**
Prepared cold brew coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for several days to a week. By taking a little time to prepare it in advance, you can make several days' worth of coffee at once, which is very economical and time-saving!

**FAQs**
Still have a few questions?
Through years of experience, we've gathered answers to common cold brew coffee queries, which we're happy to share.
**What kind of beans are suitable for cold brew coffee?**
If you prefer intense fruit flavors, beans from African regions like Ethiopia and Kenya are excellent choices.
For flavors with notes of berries, chocolate, nuts, and sugar, high-altitude beans from Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica are recommended.
If you enjoy a rich body with herbal, woody, or tea-like notes, beans from Asian regions such as Indonesia, Taiwan, and Yunnan are very suitable.
There's no single right answer, as it depends on your personal flavor preferences. However, higher quality coffee beans often yield more diverse flavors and surprises when cold-brewed.
**Does cold brew coffee absolutely need to be chilled for 24 hours?**
The 24-hour refrigeration is a recommendation based on our grind size, so feel free to use it as a guideline without pressure.
You can experiment between 16-24 hours to see if the strength meets your liking. You can also explore how different "temperature + time" combinations affect the taste to find your preferred profile.
**Can I use plastic bottles for steeping instead of glass?**
Yes, as long as your plastic container is food-grade and doesn't have any unusual odors. However, plastic materials are more prone to staining from coffee than glass.
**I don't have enough space in my refrigerator; can I skip refrigeration?**
Yes, during winter, you might even be able to steep without refrigeration. However, once steeped, it's recommended to consume it as soon as possible. If you can't finish it, refrigerate it.
Generally, higher temperatures release flavors faster. If you steep the coffee grounds at room temperature throughout, it's advisable to steep for 10-12 hours initially and test the flavor concentration.
**Why is there coffee sediment at the bottom of my cold brew?**
This is because during grinding, some extremely fine coffee particles are produced, which can pass through the filter bag and settle at the bottom. If you dislike the fine sediment, it's recommended to discard the very bottom layer of coffee liquid.
**What kind of water should I use for making cold brew coffee?**
Please use filtered drinking water; mineral water is also acceptable. Avoid using boiled tap water. Since 98% of a cup of coffee is water, ensure the water is fresh and pure!
