There's a small story behind our decision to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden curfew was imposed, only to be lifted just before our flight. Upon arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped in a subway car as protestors surged in. We were pushed to the point of breathlessness, unable to move, almost levitating. We kept asking ourselves, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We continuously encouraged each other to stay calm, to find a way to breathe, to keep our heads up, and most importantly, to stand firm and not fall. Fortunately, after a few stops, the dense crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and in tears.
A few stops later, as we exited the subway, we unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the tempestuous storm we had just endured. Those of us who were dazed and frightened felt as though we had found solid ground once more.
From the bottom of our hearts, we truly felt, "It's wonderful to have cats in this world."
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And so, this unforeseen representation came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are deeply fond of the nostalgic, retro feel in his works, reminiscent of the folk scroll paintings from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines extremely delicate details, creating pieces that invite prolonged admiration.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies layers of color with such subtlety, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even small details like butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with exquisite soul.

Each painting captures the moments when cats share our space. The cats' "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" embody the message the artist wishes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses his own cats as subjects, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed, embodying a perfectly spirited and characterful feline presence. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, he portrays animal life and thoughts within traditional art forms.
He utilizes Korean paper, a material less commonly seen in the market, and meticulous brushwork techniques. This paper lends a warm overall tone to the artwork, while the refined linear details provide exquisite definition and depth.

This warm feeling, this wonderful combination, allows the contemporary painting style to integrate seamlessly.
