It was a gift from relatives in Thailand many decades ago, originally meant for a cheongsam, but was carefully treasured instead. This time, it is paired with emerald green satin from Japan. It was first designed to be graceful and elegant, but while sewing, I followed my instincts and made it asymmetrical—and then even more asymmetrical. Light, soft, and cool to wear, it can be worn front or back. Pair it with denim shorts, silk wide-leg pants, or a tulle skirt—wear it however you like.
