This one-of-a-kind piece is hand-sewn from vintage KIMONO fabric. This is an AZUMA bag made of leftover fabric from the production process. AZUMA bag is a traditional Japanese bag made of a single piece of fabric sewn together and spread out diagonally to create its shape. It is a reversible type combining two types of KIMONO fabrics. My items are easy to upcycle, as they return to a square piece of cloth when unraveled (unsew). Such treatment of KIMONO is the very spirit of the Japanese, which I want to carry on.
