The Aurora Bunny Ear, belonging to the Kalanchoe genus in the Crassulaceae family, is a variation of the Moonlight Bunny Ear. The succulent market offers a wide variety of Bunny Ear species, estimated to be over thirty. The Aurora Bunny Ear is characterized by its broad, serrated leaves covered in short, soft fuzz that feels very comfortable to the touch. Unlike other Bunny Ears that have distinct "eyeliner" markings at the leaf tips, this variety features brown speckles along its serrated edges, presenting a particularly elegant and delicate look. Its care is straightforward, and it adapts well to Taiwan's climate, making it very suitable for novice plant enthusiasts.
Environment
Bunny Ears thrive in cool environments and require dry, sunny locations to grow. While they can tolerate partial shade, they are susceptible to waterlogging and cannot withstand hot, humid conditions. Prolonged exposure to dim environments can lead to thin, elongated growth (etiolation), weakening the plant. The fuzz on the leaves may lose its luster, and the formation of the characteristic brown speckles will be hindered, significantly impacting its visual appeal. Like most succulents, Bunny Ears grow during the cooler seasons and enter dormancy during hot summers. The growing season typically spans from September to June.
Soil
The requirements for the growing medium are not overly strict. Generally, a well-draining potting mix is sufficient.
Watering
These plants are relatively drought-tolerant. Water when the topsoil feels dry, ensuring thorough saturation until water drains from the bottom. Watering is typically needed about once a week.
Light
They require partial to full sunlight. Ample sunlight promotes compact, sturdy growth, with leaves tightly packed, resulting in an upright appearance and more prominent brown speckles. Conversely, insufficient light leads to etiolation, elongating the spaces between leaves and giving the plant a loose, sprawling look. The stems also become weak, and the leaf colors fade.
Propagation
Propagation methods are similar to most succulents, including stem cuttings and leaf propagation. Plants that have grown too tall can be headed (top cut) and the cuttings used for propagation. The mother plant will develop more branches after being headed, and the newly emerging leaves at the top will not yet have the characteristic serrations.
Spring and autumn are ideal for cuttings. Propagating with stem cuttings is simple: remove healthy cuttings, let them air dry for a day or two, then place them on the surface of moist soil. Maintaining a cool, well-ventilated environment for over 20 days will generally result in root and shoot development. Avoid watering immediately after planting cuttings, and do not water too frequently, as this can lead to stem rot.
📝 Key Care Tips: Prefers sunlight, well-draining soil, avoid waterlogging, water thoroughly when dry, water about once a week.

This plant comes pre-potted. We take great care in packaging for shipment and will apply a "fragile" sticker. If pebbles, soil, or the plant itself become dislodged during transit, this is considered normal. Minor jostling during delivery is unavoidable. Please gently repot the plant upon receipt.
⭕️ Additional saucers in hexagonal, round, square, and oval shapes are available for separate purchase to prevent water leaks when watering thoroughly!
(The default saucer color is a white-gray gradient. For custom color requests, please inquire beforehand.)

⚠️ Please note: Due to the nature of pure handmade cement casting, minor air bubbles and pores are inevitable. Each pot will have unique patterns, textures, pores, and variations that do not affect structural integrity – these are considered part of the design. If you are particularly concerned about the appearance of cement products, please consider carefully or inquire before purchasing. All sales are final, and returns or exchanges will not be accepted. Thank you!
⚠️ If sufficient stock is available, you can message us to request photos and choose your preferred style from our selection of cement creations.
