Kerosene Stove Keychain Pouch - Boxed

In 1960s Hong Kong, the kerosene stove was a common fixture for cooking with an open flame, fueled by kerosene. Its convenience led it to quickly replace traditional methods using firewood or charcoal. Typically made of tinplate, these stoves featured a base with a reservoir to hold kerosene. Wicks, usually made of cotton threads, would draw the fuel up to the top of the stove. Before cooking, users would ignite the exposed wicks with a match or lighter, then place a pot on top to begin cooking. Kerosene stoves were often blue or green and came in both round and square designs.
