Handwoven Linen Stole [Cool Breeze *05] Materials: 95% Linen, 5% Silk Size: Approx. 26cm (38cm) x 165cm (excluding 5cm fringe) This small stole is handwoven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a Kyoto-based yarn wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors after being bleached and then woven by hand. Its sheer, thin texture and crinkled feel allow it to drape softly and lightly against the body. Warp threads were set wide, and tightly twisted silk yarn was woven in at regular intervals to create vertical slubs, resulting in a manageable narrow width. The colorful borders, woven with five different linen colors, gain a sense of depth from the slub effect, creating a refreshing design. The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in handweaving, is characterized by its minimal fiber fuzz and subtle sheen. With a fine density of 480 warp threads, it achieves an exceptionally supple texture. Linen stoles offer superior water and moisture absorption and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and pleasant feel against the skin.
