Summer cool -- Gongliao Agar Mini Ball

At the beginning of summer, sea women in Gongliao, New Taipei City, arrive at the coastal intertidal zone and dive into the seabed to pick agar. After landing, they continue their work: clean, wash and expose agar to the sun at least six times until the color of agar turns to beige from dark red. Then the Gongliao agar is made. Agar is a marine red algae, a food rich in minerals and polysaccharide gels. We make the agar mini ball for the grass tea to condense into grass jelly.
