This is an SDGs-conscious Kintsugi jewelry piece, upcycled from ceramics by Fukukikama, a Kyoto-based kiln specializing in Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery.
Broken or chipped pottery that would otherwise be discarded is given new life through Kintsugi, reborn as unique accessories.
The concept behind these creations is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that resonate with the future and unlock new possibilities.
This piece features elegant pottery fragments adorned with a floral pattern, complemented by freshwater pearls.
The sides of the pottery shards are enhanced with Kintsugi, allowing the gleaming gold to catch the eye from every angle and adding a touch of refined grace.
These pieces are perfect as a stylish accent for both casual and elegant ensembles.
Dimensions: 14 x 13mm
Fittings: Screw-back earrings (Fittings cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being pottery fragments, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, it makes for an ideal gift.
A thoughtful present for someone special.
*As these are finished, unique items, we cannot accept requests for fitting changes or remake them.
We also do not accept custom orders for different specifications using similar pottery fragments.
*The item pictured will be sent. However, if sold on another site, it may become a made-to-order item. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in color, pattern, and size compared to the pottery fragments and natural stones shown in the photos.
*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that uses lacquer and gold powder to mend broken or chipped ceramics. This piece is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for bonding.
The Kintsugi parts are made with lacquer (a commercially produced coating, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
