A deep green glaze reminiscent of tree foliage, combined with a subtly creamy white matte glaze. This is a generously sized mug created by combining these glazes. Typically, mugs and teacups are glazed in lighter colors on the inside to enhance the beverage's hue. However, for this piece, we've uniquely reversed this approach, applying the glazes in a contrasting manner. The darker color on the upper portion lends a sense of structure to the vessel, resulting in a mug that, while endearingly plump and rounded, also possesses a refined presence. All stages, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously handcrafted using a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel in my home studio. To address this, we apply a water-stopping treatment to all our ceramic tableware before shipping. Therefore, a separate pre-soaking (me-dome) is not necessary. This treatment requires 2-3 days to complete, so we have set the shipping period to 5 days from the date of your order. If you prefer not to have the water-stopping treatment applied, please inform us at the time of your purchase. - Cutlery shown in the product images is not included. - We strive to capture and edit product images to be as true to the actual item as possible.
