The beauty of the Taipei Performing Arts Center’s architecture lies not only in its iconic spherical theatre but also in its striking façade of curved glass. Nearly 1,200 panels of double-layered curved glass form the exterior, each crafted through a complex process to achieve clarity and brightness. One remarkable feature of this curved-glass design is its dual visual effect: from inside, the outside world is visible and vivid, yet from outside looking in, the image becomes softly distorted and blurred. It offers both transparency and privacy at the same time. This notebook carries forward that design philosophy, combining a refined gray palette with elements inspired by the building’s curved glass.
