Material Descriptions: The predominantly used 14k gold-filled material in the mixandfun studio is a layer of 1/20 14k gold plated onto a brass base. This is a popular choice in recent years, known for being relatively easy to care for, long-lasting in color, and more accessible in price compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely 14k gold throughout, containing approximately 58.5% pure gold with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, solid 14k gold offers even easier care and a more refined color. It's also a considerate option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material we frequently utilize. mixandfun carefully selects preferred, unplated chains and then applies a special plating process, ensuring the color remains vibrant under normal wear. Care Instructions: 1. It is recommended to put on your jewelry after dressing and remove it before changing into loungewear. Avoid wearing accessories while bathing, hot spring bathing, or swimming. 2. For earrings, we suggest using the provided silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if accessories are not worn for extended periods, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before storing them in a sealed bag. 4. For finer chains, get into the habit of fastening the clasp when taking them off to reduce tangling. 5. Please understand that 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, or custom alloy pieces will naturally show signs of wear over time. 6. Simple Maintenance Tip: If you notice any signs of oxidation, don't worry. You can fill a bowl with a little water, add a pinch of salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and dry. It should regain its shine. (Material composition can vary between brands).
