Quell the Souls - Rainbow Bridge Small Silk Scarf ◤Story Behind the Design◢ "Quell the Souls" is a series by SHAOwei inspired by Taiwanese history, aiming to bring forgotten memories to light. The goal is to remember fragmented historical moments and transform poignant events into gentle stories, fostering greater understanding and awareness. The "Rainbow Bridge" depicts the 1930 Wushe Incident. The soul-guiding messenger—Sisin, a bird revered by the spirits and a symbol of the rainbow—carries crimson cherry blossom petals to place upon the heads of the fallen. The petals bear the inscription... "HAYAKU KOSANSURUMONO WA KOROSANAI" (Those who surrender quickly will not be killed). After the Seediq people endured the brutal poison gas attacks by the Japanese army and suffered the agony of inhaling the toxic fumes, they resolved to end their lives. However, suicide was contrary to the warrior spirit of the indigenous people. Avoid prolonged soaking, direct sunlight, and machine drying. After washing, lay flat to dry. Iron on the reverse side at a low temperature or use a medium heat with a pressing cloth.
