After about a week of wear, the South American wax cord will gradually lose its wax coating, becoming brighter and more lustrous, which is a normal phenomenon. 2. If the item contains sterling silver or brass components, store it in a ziplock bag when not worn for extended periods. 3. The items are designed for long-term wear and can be exposed to water daily. However, brass components are prone to oxidation. You can address this using the toothpaste cleaning method described below. "Toothpaste Cleaning: If the brass components show signs of oxidation, slightly dampen the surface with water, apply a small amount of toothpaste, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then gently rub with your finger or a soft-bristled toothbrush and rinse off the toothpaste to restore its shine." 4.
