❍ About This Piece From the washbasin to the work desk, we wanted to create a soap dish that is both truly functional and aesthetically pleasing. Through our own use, we slowly refined and adjusted the design, creating a simple form with a touch of thoughtful detail. It perfectly cradles a bar of soap and allows water to drain away just right. It's not flashy, but it's genuinely practical. We chose terracotta clay, a type of mud with slightly coarse particles. The resulting pieces are not as delicate as porcelain, but they possess a natural simplicity and honesty that you can feel with your hands and see with your eyes. The surface may have some variations in color, pinholes, or small glaze cracks; these are not flaws but rather natural characteristics that emerge during the firing process. ❍ Material Terracotta, Glaze ❍ Dimensions The soap dish is specifically designed for handmade soaps, measuring approximately 8 × 6 × 2.5 cm. Its size is just right, allowing your soap to rest securely and be used with ease. (Each piece is handmade, so dimensions may vary slightly.) ❍ Craftsmanship Details Each piece is fired at high temperatures twice, ensuring durability. Occasional pinholes, natural glaze variations, or fine crack lines on the surface are inherent characteristics of the terracotta material and the firing process. As these are handcrafted items, the curvature and glaze distribution of each piece will differ slightly, lending it its unique personality. ❍ Packaging & Sustainability All our shipments are packed using recycled bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. While it may not be exquisitely presented, for us, giving every resource a second life is the better choice. | About Handmade | Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand. The glaze flows naturally, and the lines vary. Minor crackles formed during firing do not affect usability; please rest assured.
