Legendary Russian / Soviet chess set from Valdai (small town in Russia). 1947 to 1951. Was nicknamed “Nobles” by collectors for its elegance and perfect visual harmony. Also known as “Valdai Nobles”. Completely made of wood. Very rare good vintage condition. Few little chips were accurately repaired. The color is also very rare as it was used only from 1947 to 1951.
