The edges are painted with Bronze glaze to resemble rusted metal, which adds a nice accent. The handle is indigo blue. The inside is dark grey. It is small in size, and when viewed from above, the aperture is not perfectly round but is distorted, giving it a handmade feel. *Unlike porcelain, pottery (earthenware) has a soft, warm ceramic surface.
