Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly favored material for jewelry due to its accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize. Exposure to rain, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable zipper bag when not being worn. If the luster appears dull, a few simple methods can quickly restore your item's original brilliance. Please note that if the surface is scratched, while the color may be restored, the polished shine might not return (a matte, vintage bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Gently scrub with a toothbrush dipped in a foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth, to restore brass's shine. Ensure to dry thoroughly after cleaning. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick and bright restoration (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, soak the brass item for approximately 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its luster (not suitable for natural beads like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
