These may absorb color from deeply pigmented foods, which is a natural characteristic of the glaze's aesthetic. ⸻ About Fine Cracks • Also known as "crazing" or "ice crackle," these are caused by differences in the shrinkage rates between the ceramic body and the glaze. The cracks are confined to the glaze layer, and the ceramic body itself is flawless. • Some cracks may appear within a week of firing, while others might develop over years.
