This piece is from Bijoux Fix of France (originating in 1823). The gold plating on the jewelry is a thick layer of 14K or 18K gold, ensuring a beautiful, true color! These slender, narrow bar brooches were particularly popular during the Edwardian era (1901–1910). As women's fashion became softer, brooches were often crafted with delicate elegance, intended to be pinned onto fine fabrics like chiffon or lace. Pearls, often symbolizing purity and grace, were among the most favored materials of the time. Art Nouveau floral motifs are complemented by small pearls (uncertain if genuine) that add a perfect touch of refined elegance! The overall condition is excellent, with a wonderful metallic sheen.
