Touch the Earth North American natural wood kitchen products are produced by Lexington Art & Science, which is produced in Taiwan by local award-winning carpenters who have been trained for a long time. They use specially selected natural wood imported from the United States, combining manual work and digital precision. Made with advanced processing technology, the finished products are well received in the United States, New Zealand and Australia. The wood grain and color of natural logs are unique and cannot be selected. ◆When the entire range of Touch the Earth North American natural wood kitchen products leaves the factory, they all use American Walrus Oil, a special oil for wood chopping boards that is made in the United States and has obtained NSF certification and complies with FDA standards. The ingredients are purely natural and only contain mineral oil, coconut oil, beeswax oil, and vitamins. E. The raw wood materials are made of Japanese Koyo KR-7800 splicing that complies with the Japanese Food Hygiene Law standards. ◆Because log chopping boards are natural materials, they still need to be maintained as diligently as cast iron pots or iron woks during use, which can greatly reduce the chance of mold, deformation, and cracking. ◆In the first month after unpacking, it is recommended to wipe the chopping board with special maintenance oil at least twice a week for more frequent maintenance. The maintenance oil is not limited to brands, any organic and natural beeswax oil produced locally in Taiwan, and in compliance with the US FDA or Japanese food hygiene standards Special maintenance oil for imported wooden cutting boards can be used. Do not use edible oil (such as sunflower oil, olive oil, salad oil) to wipe it to avoid a rancid smell. ◆Please clean the natural log cutting board immediately after daily use. You can clean it with warm water, mild neutral detergent, baking soda powder, and lemon peel. Then wipe it dry immediately and place it in a ventilated and dry place to dry in the shade. Do not use strong chemical detergents or use a dishwasher to clean, and do not expose it to direct sunlight to avoid deformation or cracking of the original wood cutting board. ◆For knife marks caused by long-term use, or mildew caused by careless maintenance, you can sand it with 220~600 grit sandpaper and re-apply cutting board maintenance oil. ◆The log chopping board is kiln-dried wood imported from the United States. If it absorbs moisture unevenly during daily use, it may be slightly deformed. This is the natural material property of logs. If the cutting board is deformed during daily use and has not recovered after being left to dry in the shade for more than one day, you can wet both sides of the cutting board with the arched side facing up. Generally, it will recover after drying for about half a day.
