A single tear rolled down her cheek, Dripping into the silence, Splitting the dark chaos. The wind gently embraced the tear; The stars paved its way; The moon kissed it tenderly; The tear curved happily, Like a fetus, Like an unfinished dream, Its name was "Magatama." Amaterasu hung it on the divine tree, Accompanied by a mirror. It was the first soul born of Amaterasu, And from then on, Magatama guarded the space between humans and gods, Traversing darkness and war, Like a mother's eternal hope, Guiding the light of hope for Amaterasu's children. • Japanese Magatama can be broadly divided into the Izumo style and the Yamato style, originating from the ancient Jomon period. They are sacred objects of Japanese deities. The Yasakani no Magatama, one of the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan, is a Magatama. In Japan, Magatama are talismans used to ward off evil and ensure peace. This batch of Izumo-style Magatama was encountered by the designer during a trip to Japan. Each piece is beautifully polished and shaped, so they were brought back to Taiwan and crafted into pendants using wire-wrapping techniques.
