Fossil I - Early Autumn Trace - Ebony, Amber, and Brass Earrings

Earrings (single-sided carving) crafted with the gilding technique on ebony wood, filled with gold powder. Branches swaying in a hazy golden light... Gazing at plant fossils, I imagine their distant lives in ancient times. Inspired by this reverie, I created this piece. ------ Wood Material: Ebony Beads: Irregularly shaped faceted amber beads Accessories: Non-plated brass ear posts and findings Overall Dimensions: Approx. 5.4 x 1.8 cm (including ear hook) Finish: Natural lacquer with gold powder ----- ※ Care and Maintenance for Wooden Jewelry ※ ◆ If the piece gets wet, gently pat it dry or let it air dry. Avoid exposing it to moisture or direct sunlight. Please remove the jewelry before showering or visiting hot springs, and do not submerge it in water for extended periods. ◆ Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight (e.g., in a car). However, wearing them for a stroll on a sunny day is perfectly fine! ◆ Unless otherwise specified, all pieces are finished with natural coatings. This method best preserves the wood's original color and grain, offering the most natural and environmentally friendly finish. Natural finishes may gradually fade over time; reapplication is possible if needed. ◆ This piece is finished with tung oil, a natural seed oil. If you have a history of allergies or concerns related to this, please consult a doctor. ◆ All dimensions are measured by hand, so please allow for slight variations. ※ Care and Maintenance for Metal Accessories ※ ◆ This piece uses untreated pure brass/pure silver. Brass jewelry naturally oxidizes over time, developing a warm, aged patina. A polishing cloth is included with brass purchases; you can use it to maintain your desired shine (do not use it on plated accessories). ◆ If you prefer your metal accessories to remain consistently bright and untarnished, consider pieces with sterling silver or plated findings. ◆ If you have metal sensitivities or tend to sweat a lot, we recommend trying other brass jewelry first to gauge your reaction before purchasing pieces with brass ear posts. ------ About the Wood: The pieces are processed and should withstand normal use and wear. However, please avoid intentionally bending or dropping them, as this can still cause damage. Wood grain and color are natural variations; there may be slight color differences due to screen and camera displays. About the Carving: Each piece is meticulously hand-carved using manual tools and refined with sandpaper. Every detail is crafted by hand, and the subtle marks left by the carving tools are an characteristic feature of this style of work. Please appreciate these marks as an integral part of the artwork!
